Ethical Business Practices (3 Credits)

You will learn about the Code of Ethics for both NAR and REBNY members, understand how to defend an ethics complaint, and work through ethical case studies. Most importantly, you will discover that the Code of Ethics is not an ethical compass at all, but rather a contractual obligation, which is more like your independent contractor agreement and your brokerage’s policy manual than any moral guidebook. Together with the law, these three contractual obligations represent the limits on your morals and ethical decision-making discretion as you practice in the business of real estate brokerage in the State of New York.

Ethical Business Practices is an on-demand video real estate continuing education course that satisfies 3 credits of the total 22.5 credits required by the NY Department of State for license renewal.
